Michael Youngwood is an award winning musician, engineer and producer. Classically trained on violin and guitar, his main instrument is the Native American Flute. As a musician he has released three critically acclaimed albums, toured extensively in America and Europe, and shared billing with musicians as diverse as R. Carlos Nakai and The Indigo Girls.

Born of Scottish and Eastern Cherokee descent, Youngwood grew up on a farm in the small town of Clayton, NC. In 1997 he opened his first recording studio, Celtic Crow Recording in the basement of his home in Waynesville, NC. Initially built as a project studio for his own use, Michael's engineering and producing skills quickly became evident to local musicians, and soon he was doing sessions for local singer/songwriters, bands, orchestras and choirs.

As interest in Celtic Crow grew, the limitations of the small studio became apparent, so in early 2000 Michael broke ground for Sleeping Wolf Productions, a 1700 square foot, state of the art digital recording facility.

"Sleeping Wolf Productions is built for musicians," says Youngwood. "I want it to feel like coming into a living room." Comfort and a laid back atmosphere is complemented by the quality of the equipment and the skill and professionalism of Michael Youngwood.
